About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed mobile Security Officer in Lafayette, Indiana, serving a manufacturing and industrial location. The officer helps safeguard employees, visitors, and operations by conducting patrols, monitoring access points, responding to security concerns, and following site-specific procedures. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license. The role calls for clear communication, customer service, integrity, teamwork, and reliability. The scheduled hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.51 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control and badge systems.
Experience with alarm panels.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following emergency response protocols and communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs related to patrols, incidents, access control, and other security duties.
