As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Check in Owings Mills, MD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $17.70 / Hour

Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent access control practices.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and/or unusual activity as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting conditions that may require follow-up or additional attention.
  • Communicate with employees, visitors, and management regarding visitor processing, badge requirements, and other security-related protocols.
