About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Check Patrol in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and/or concerns according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions that may vary by assignment.
• Monitor access points and activity across the location to help to deter unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or unusual behavior.
• Support campus operations by documenting incidents, providing directions and assistance, and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when needed.
