Security Officer (Security Guard)
About The Position
A Security Guard is responsible for protecting AHF’s assets and ensuring the safety of staff, tenants, contractors, guests, and visitors at AHF sites, including Healthy Housing properties. The role implements security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect personnel and assets, including donated inventory, at Healthy Housing tenant facilities in downtown Los Angeles and other AHF locations. The Security Guard coordinates and oversees the in-house Security Guards Team and works closely with Healthy Housing operational staff to maintain a safe and secure environment. The role requires a friendly, professional, and disciplined approach, the ability to recognize potentially dangerous situations and respond safely and effectively, and flexibility in adapting to changing situations. The Security Guard also submits detailed reports about events and situations that occur while on duty through AHF’s Safety and Security Incident Reporting System. The position supports AHF’s mission and core values and contributes to a collaborative workplace and positive experience for clients and employees.

Responsibilities
- Protect AHF assets and the safety of staff, tenants, contractors, guests, and visitors at AHF sites, including Healthy Housing properties.
- Implement strategies, policies, and procedures designed to protect personnel and assets, including donated inventory.
- Coordinate and oversee the in-house Security Guards Team.
- Recognize potentially dangerous situations and respond in the safest and most effective manner.
- Build and maintain working relationships with Healthy Housing operational staff to support a safe and secure environment.
- Submit detailed reports about on-duty events and situations using the Safety and Security Incident Reporting System.
- Represent AHF in a friendly, professional, and disciplined manner.
