About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Officer at a retail distribution location in Northlake, Illinois, you will safeguard clients and support site operations. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control. The role includes providing customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet tools as needed. The scheduled shifts are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; document observations and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution and retail support areas, including building exteriors, perimeter areas, parking locations, docks, and access points.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and help deter unauthorized activity or property loss.
Observe and report security-related hazards, unusual conditions, and policy violations; support orderly operations during deliveries, shift changes, and emergencies.
