About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to serve and safeguard a utilities client in Northport, New York. The officer will maintain a visible presence, conduct patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and help deter incidents. The role also involves providing customer service and clear communication while addressing security-related concerns. The scheduled shifts are Thursday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.57 per hour. Employees can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility facilities, buildings, substations, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, or potential hazards.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-control concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services when required.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports and daily activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
