Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Readiness
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Readiness in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for an assigned healthcare site. The role provides consistent hours on a designated weekly shift, with a required six-month commitment to that assignment. In addition to the fixed shift, officers may claim extra shifts through the company scheduling platform, including opportunities to work across multiple sites and increase their hours up to 40 per week. The position is intended for part-time employment, with the option to build toward a full-time schedule or scale back when needed. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour. The listed shift is Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical-related emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
