About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Flex Unarmed Patrol Communications in Stockton, California. The officer will safeguard clients across a variety of sites and industries, gaining experience in diverse work environments and opportunities for career advancement. The role pays $20.00 per hour and is scheduled for 30–40 hours per week. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments vary regularly. The officer will work irregular shifts, potentially with little to no advance notice, based on manager-assigned shifts and shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program.

The position involves patrolling assigned areas, monitoring for security and safety concerns, responding to incidents, controlling access, preparing reports, and assisting customers, employees, and visitors. Employment is contingent on applicable background investigation and drug screening. Licensing may be required under state or local law.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property complies with client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
