About The Position

DSI Security Services is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Aurora, Illinois. The officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, their employees, and the public through professionalism, attentiveness, and a commitment to safety and customer service. The position works weekends, Saturday and Sunday, from 7 AM to 7 PM, and pays $20.00 per hour. The post requires operating a DSI vehicle and completing routine patrols. Applicants must meet all preemployment requirements, including a criminal background check, motor vehicle screening, and drug screen.

Requirements

Minimum age of 21.
Clean motor vehicle record and valid driver's license; the post requires operation of a DSI vehicle.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Reliable transportation and a means of communication.
Basic to intermediate computer skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to conduct routine foot patrols, lift moderately, and work in all weather conditions.
Must meet all preemployment requirements, including criminal background, motor vehicle, and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure environment through visible presence and routine patrols.
Observe, report, and respond to hazards, incidents, and suspicious activity.
Follow DSI policies, client requirements, and post-specific instructions.
Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.
Complete required reports and documentation accurately and timely.
Participate in training and comply with DSI safety procedures and manuals.
