About The Position

Responsible for enforcing security requirements and providing assistance, direction, and follow-up security service with tact, diplomacy, and concern for customers and staff. Accountable for service excellence for internal and external customers and staff. Patrols assigned buildings and grounds to maintain order and safe working conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to reason and make decisions independently without direct supervision in a variety of conditions.
• Maintain an attractive appearance, including personal hygiene and uniform.
• Present a positive attitude when performing assignments and providing assistance.
• Use a considerate and comforting tone when assisting distraught customers, visitors, and patients.
• Remain calm and in control during verbal and physical threats from customers and others.
• Present a professional and helpful attitude on the telephone.
• Valid Florida or Georgia driver's license with a clean record, or violations not exceeding the maximum points allowed by hospital policy.
• One to two years of security, law enforcement, or military experience.

Nice To Haves

• Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree, or college courses in criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related field.
• Three to five years of security experience in a hospital environment.

Responsibilities
