About The Position

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises, controlling access, and patrolling a variety of locations. The role preserves order while enforcing client-site regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area. Officers interact frequently with client employees and guests, provide customer service and information, use technology devices throughout their shifts, and respond to emergencies with appropriate judgment and escalation. The position is full-time and based in Rochester, Minnesota, with a wage of $20.25 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED required.
Above-average computer and technology skills.
Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
Strong attention to detail and vigilance throughout the shift.
Professional demeanor.
Willingness to participate in pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

Monitor premises and control access.
Patrol assigned locations and conduct property tours.

Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, and suspicious activity.
Follow post orders and complete assigned rounds.
Provide customer service and information to client employees and guests.
Use technology devices throughout the shift.
Carry out other tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.
Respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
