As a Security Officer - Day Shift Transit Patrol in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, riders, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government transit location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points, public areas, and restricted locations to help to deter trespassing, loitering, and/or policy violations while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Assist with crowd management, directional support, and incident response during peak travel periods, service disruptions, and/or special events at the location.
