About The Position

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Security Officer for State Site in Boston MA. As a Security Officer in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ Years of previous Security Experience
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, public concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying authorized access when required and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through proper channels.
  • Support traffic, pedestrian, and/or facility activity by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions and assistance, and following post orders related to government operations and public access.
