About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol a retail location in San Diego, California. The role involves providing customer service while carrying out security procedures, maintaining a visible presence, conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and communicating security-related observations. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal policy. The scheduled hours are Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The pay rate is $23.00 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements, is required for this driving position.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales areas, entrances, stockrooms, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following site-specific escalation procedures.
Monitor access points and support visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
