About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Part Time Patrol Driver for an assigned logistics and distribution site in Port Reading, New Jersey. The position pays $21.00 per hour and has a designated weekly anchor shift on Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and shift. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back as needed.

The role provides security and customer service for clients, visitors, drivers, and employees. Duties include following site-specific procedures, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring people and deliveries, responding to incidents, and preparing reports. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A TSA-issued TWIC card.
• A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screen as conditions of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while following security procedures and site-specific policies; participate in emergency response when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, delivery-related issues, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor and document the movement of personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
