About The Position

The Security Officer provides security services for the facilities and grounds of Witham Health Services. The role helps deter loss of hospital, employee, patient, and visitor property by intercepting unauthorized individuals and investigating unusual incidents. The officer interacts with employees, patients, visitors, and other guests on campus and works effectively with local and state law enforcement agencies and community groups. The role uses technology to record incidents and campus rounds and to assist with investigations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
• At least 2 years of experience in security, corrections, military, or law enforcement.
• Ability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as the schedule requires.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
• Current CPI certification, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working security in a healthcare setting.
• Formal training related to law enforcement, military, or security practices.
