About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location in Hilo, Hawaii. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment. The role includes customer service, clear communication, and responding to security-related concerns with integrity. The posted pay rate is $26.58 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow established site protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Document and communicate incidents, observations, and policy violations through required reports and shift communications.
