About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a driving site-patrol post at a retail location in Columbus, Ohio. The officer helps safeguard clients, shoppers, and store personnel by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access points and alarm systems, responding to incidents, and supporting a welcoming and orderly shopping environment. The role requires a valid driver’s license. The scheduled shifts are 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and drug screening, subject to applicable laws. State or local licensing may also be required before employment. Requirements

Valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency-response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter locations, identifying and reporting unusual activity or conditions.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
Monitor access points and customer traffic, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, or maintenance concerns to help maintain an orderly shopping environment.
Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications according to company and site requirements.
