About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for site patrol at a hospitality location in Columbus, Ohio. The role serves and safeguards clients by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and providing customer service and communication to guests, visitors, and staff. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license. The scheduled hours are 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Thursday. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour. Applicants must meet the applicable age requirement, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and pass employment-related background and drug screening, subject to applicable laws. State or local licensing may also be required before employment.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, as required by Allied Universal driver policy for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow established site procedures, and report observations as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access, observe unusual activity or policy violations, and help deter unauthorized entry through a professional presence.
Document incidents, patrol activities, and noteworthy observations according to site-specific reporting requirements.
