About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to conduct vehicle patrols at a commercial real estate community in Galveston, Texas. The role involves maintaining a visible security presence, helping deter incidents, and providing customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and property staff. The driving post requires a valid driver’s license. The schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law; applicable licensing requirements may also apply.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and property staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, amenities, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor property access and observe visitor and contractor activity, following site procedures for entry, parking, and access control.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, resident concerns, alarms, and critical situations, and document observations and actions according to site procedures.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications, and promptly notify appropriate personnel of security-related concerns.
