Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy concerns to site leadership.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
