As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and reliable service while using technology to document and report security-related activity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and assist with access-control procedures in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
  • Document patrols, observations, incidents, and other security-related activities through required reports and logs.
