About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location in Nashville, Tennessee, you will help safeguard students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible security presence, monitor access points, and provide customer service. The role involves responding to incidents and alarms, observing and reporting security concerns, and following site-specific policies and emergency procedures. The listed schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM. Pay is $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow site-specific protocols, and contact appropriate personnel when needed.
Monitor access points and campus activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate contacts.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations in accordance with company and site requirements.
