About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol and support security operations at a financial institution in Ashburn, Virginia. The officer will maintain a visible presence, help deter incidents, support access control, and assist employees, visitors, and vendors professionally. The role uses technology to document activity and communicate clearly, while providing a welcoming customer experience. The posted schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Pay is $24.45 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

• Access control or badge experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Report maintenance issues, suspicious activity, policy violations, and other security concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
