About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an armed, cleared Security Officer. The role involves protecting classified information and personnel while providing security services at a client site. Officers receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with their clearance level, supporting skill development and professional growth in the security field.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Possess a Department of Defense (DoD) position-appropriate security clearance. National security eligibility determinations consider stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have at least one of the following: three years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site or prior military experience.
• Be at least 21 years old, or older if required by the state.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites.

Nice To Haves

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience.
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional security services to safeguard personnel, property, and information.
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances in written and oral communications to the client and/or other security personnel.
• Respond to and assess security or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
