About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time armed Security Officer for an assigned site in Weslaco, Texas. The position provides a fixed weekly shift with a six-month commitment, and offers the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The role involves armed patrols, access monitoring, customer service, incident response, and required reporting. Pay is $14.00 per hour.

Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; it is required for driving positions.
Texas Level III Armed Certification is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Must participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.
Commitment to the assigned site and weekly shift for six months.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following post orders and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of retail sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter.
Monitor access points and observe customer, employee, and vendor activity for unusual conditions, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
Maintain incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol observations, and handle assigned equipment according to company and site-specific policies.
