About The Position

As a Security Officer at a residential property in Ridge, NY, you will help create a welcoming, professional environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and assisting residents and visitors. You will maintain a visible presence, help deter security-related incidents, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with care and integrity. The role serves and safeguards clients in residential settings through teamwork, reliability, and customer service.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for residents, guests, deliveries, contractors, and other visitors entering the residential community.
Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and vehicle entry records in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of community entrances, common areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
