As a Security Officer Licensed Unarmed Patrol Duty in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, document observations, and provide courteous communication to staff and visitors. Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and program participants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of facility interiors, exterior areas, entrances, common spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, follow established entry procedures, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate areas within the location.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with site procedures.
