About The Position

As a Security Officer Reception Desk in Palm Bay, Florida, you will serve and safeguard clients at an aerospace and defense location. You will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and support security-related operations through clear communication and customer service. You will provide a professional, approachable presence while helping deter incidents. This is a full-time position paying $18.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Staff the front desk and control visitor access by greeting guests, reviewing identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate entry records.
Monitor access control, alarm, and communications systems; report irregularities, access concerns, and facility issues according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document actions taken.
Maintain an organized, professional reception area and communicate site rules, visitor instructions, and access requirements.
