About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time armed mobile patrol driver in Vanceboro, North Carolina, for an assigned site in a government corrections environment. The position provides a designated weekly shift as a reliable base schedule, with a required six-month commitment. The employee may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, allowing hours to vary and potentially increase to as many as 40 hours per week. The stated rate is $21.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday, 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas; deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and remain aware of people entering and leaving the location.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations, following post orders and applicable procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and logs about patrols, incidents, observations, and other security activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
