About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for perimeter patrol in San Antonio, Texas. The position provides reliable hours at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The designated weekly anchor shift requires a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may allow employees to vary their hours, potentially working up to 40 hours per week or scaling back as needed.

The scheduled shifts are Thursday and Friday, 9:00 PM–3:30 AM, and Saturday, 7:00 PM–3:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.60 per hour. The role involves unarmed patrol and security support in an airport and government transportation environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific procedures and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, public areas, access points, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor assigned areas for suspicious activity, unattended property, access-control concerns, and other security incidents; notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Respond professionally and calmly to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations, coordinating with airport operations and public-service personnel as directed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and daily documentation while maintaining a professional presence.
