About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a driving post at a healthcare location in Lansing, Michigan. The role helps maintain a welcoming and secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, conducting routine patrols, and responding to security-related concerns. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position. The listed pay rate is $19.00 per hour. The scheduled hours are 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors entering or leaving the location.
Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and access-control records in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or facility concerns.
