About The Position

As a full-time unarmed vehicle patrol officer at a retail and mall location in Salinas, California, you will help safeguard clients and provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate professionally with visitors, tenants, and staff to support a welcoming environment. The role pays $18.83 per hour. The stated schedule is Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, and document observations and actions according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, parking facilities, building exteriors, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior, property concerns, and maintenance issues to appropriate site contacts.
Provide directions and assistance to visitors while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a welcoming retail environment.
