About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Patrol Driver Security Officer in Bayboro, North Carolina, serving a government corrections location. The officer conducts armed driving patrols, maintains a visible security presence, and responds professionally to incidents. The role requires a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. The scheduled shifts are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and document visitor, vehicle, and property activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required records regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
