About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Verification Patrol for an assigned site in Buffalo, New York. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Employees may build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and can scale back when needed. The listed pay rate is $17.41 per hour. The stated schedule is Monday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out site security procedures, monitors and verifies access, patrols a distribution facility and surrounding areas, responds to incidents, and documents activity. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles (or 21 or older for armed roles) and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to applicable background and drug screening. Licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years old.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• A guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in accordance with post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
• Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications for Allied Universal and site leadership.
