About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a mobile driver patrol post at a technology data center in Columbus, Ohio. The officer will help safeguard the site by conducting patrols, monitoring access and security systems, responding to incidents, and providing customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. The listed pay rate is $21.79 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required under Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures and access-control policies.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the data center campus, building interiors, perimeter areas, parking locations, and critical infrastructure areas.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, alarms, and surveillance systems, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control issues, and critical situations while following established emergency response protocols.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
