About The Position

As an Unarmed Exterior Patrol Security Officer in Sparks, Nevada, you will help safeguard a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and provide clear communication and customer service in a welcoming environment. The position is full-time and pays $26.16 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, technology spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter; report unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and help maintain orderly entry and exit processes.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts or emergency responders.
Prepare clear and accurate reports and daily activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
