As a Security Officer Screening Associate in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a healthcare location, where you will help support security-related operations by monitoring entry points, screening visitors and staff, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will remain visible, respond to site needs with agility and reliability, and work with a caring team that values people first, teamwork, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Screen patients, visitors, vendors, and/or staff at designated entry points, verify identification and access requirements, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, access control concerns, and/or emergency protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting environmental concerns, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that could help to impact daily operations.
  • Document screening activity, incidents, and/or policy-related observations in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
