Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccine requirements must be met.
  • This position is in a hospital setting and may include work in and/or around the morgue.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service within a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while coordinating with site personnel and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas, verify access permissions when required, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in required reports and communicate relevant updates to supervisors, staff, and/or designated contacts.
