About The Position

As a part-time unarmed patrol security officer at a logistics and distribution location in Ruther Glen, Virginia, you will help safeguard employees, visitors, drivers, and clients. You will conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence, monitor access and activity, respond to incidents, and provide professional customer service. The position is scheduled for Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, at a rate of $19.00 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter; identify and report unusual activity.
Monitor access points and visitor, driver, and vendor activity; verify credentials and direct authorized personnel according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while remaining aware of shipping and receiving operations.
