As a Security Officer Patrol Tablet Operations in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while responding to concerns with integrity and professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, observe campus activity, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized persons according to established procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate school personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain communication with site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
