Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen people and/or items, and support access control processes. This role combines customer service, communication, and technology use to help identify security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, personal belongings, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the location in accordance with post orders and security-related procedures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document screening results, incidents, and unusual activity in a clear and timely manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, while observing for unauthorized activity and conditions that could impact operations.
