About The Position

As a Security Officer Welcome Desk in Coraopolis, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. At a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, our Front Desk Officers serve as the first point of contact, greeting visitors, managing access, and supporting security-related procedures with professionalism and care. This stationary role blends customer service, communication, and technology use while helping to maintain a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor lobby and reception areas, greet arriving guests, verify identification and/or visitor records, and help manage access in accordance with location policies.
  • Answer phones, assist with directions, and support badge issuance, visitor sign-in, and other front desk documentation related to security-related operations.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Observe activity at the front desk and main entry points to help deter unauthorized access and report maintenance, access control, and other security-related concerns.
