About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Tactical Security Officer in Greenport, New York. The role involves patrolling sensitive environments, observing for suspicious activity, controlling access to secure areas, and responding to threats, alarms, and incidents. Officers help protect people and property, document incidents and actions taken, and collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents. The position requires physical activity throughout the shift, including standing and walking. The schedule is 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with weekend availability required.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• Hold a New York State security license.
• Be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.

Nice To Haves

• First aid certification is an asset.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check that alarms and cameras are functioning properly.
