About The Position

We are seeking a Full-Time Evening Shift Security Officer to start as soon as possible in Alexandria, VA. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of a shopping center through vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining logs, documenting incidents, and enforcing customer rules professionally.

Requirements

Minimum age requirement of 18 years
Legal work status in the US
Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
Ability to pass a drug screening
Reliable and functional transportation (Public transportation is not acceptable)
Ownership of a cell phone for contact by Operations Supervisors
Ability to pass a criminal background check with no felony arrests or convictions
Must Have an Active DCJS License
Ability to perform duties as stated in post orders, which may include standing/walking for extended periods or lifting
Familiarity with mobile technology (tablets, smartphones, etc.)
Possession of a VALID full driver’s license (public transportation is not acceptable)
Ability to interact and communicate with the public
Effective oral and written communication skills
Active listening skills
Ability to assess and evaluate emergencies effectively
Ability to quickly and accurately identify critical issues and respond appropriately

Responsibilities

Maintain a daily log of all activities during your assigned shift at your assigned post
Document all incidents occurring during your assigned shift in a detailed incident report
Conduct walking/vehicular patrols throughout your shift
Enforce customer rules in a professional and courteous manner
Arrive on time and in proper uniform at your assigned post
Perform duties as stated in post orders, which may include standing/walking for extended periods or lifting
