About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Driving Role in Tuscaloosa, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine driving and foot patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors through strong communication and customer service while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in every interaction.

Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and responding to questions, concerns, and routine requests in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter zones, to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas to help support authorized entry, protect property, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in required reports and communicate with supervisors, staff, and/or first responders regarding security-related issues and post updates.
