As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Badge Audits in Torrance, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while contributing to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical facility.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, production-adjacent areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident documentation.
  • Observe required protective equipment and site entry requirements while communicating hazards, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
