As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with staff and visitors while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and supports a welcoming environment.

Requirements

  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and information, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations in accordance with site requirements.
