Security Officer Part Time Morning Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Wilson, North Carolina. The officer will conduct routine and random patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role includes customer service, responding to security concerns, monitoring access and visitor activity, and documenting patrols and incidents. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Pay is $16.71 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures and site-specific policies and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating them according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, entrances, and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity, damaged property, and policy violations.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.
