About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Intake in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at a technology-focused facility. The position has designated weekly anchor shifts that require a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours may vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, and employees can scale back when needed. The listed schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Pay is $20.14 per hour.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities. Duties include screening people and materials, checking identification and access documents, responding to incidents and alarms, documenting observations, and patrolling assigned areas.

Applicants must meet the applicable age requirement, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and undergo employment-related background and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under state or local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, deliveries, and materials entering designated areas according to site procedures and access requirements.
• Verify identification, access credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation; direct individuals to appropriate check-in locations when needed.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned business areas and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized access concerns, and facility-related issues.
